ATLETICO ARDFERT: Sunday the 29th Dec we recorded arguably our best victory in Atletico’s 5 year history, when we defeated probably Kerry district league’s best outfit in Tralee Dynamo’s. Soaking up the pressure and the rain throughout the match in Dynamo Park we found ourselves two nil up after 20 mins, with two very different, but both excellent goals from the Moloney brothers. Tom’s a super finish from a great team break on the counter, and Monkey’s a deadly strike from all of 30 yards. We conceded a penalty towards the end of the first half and we went in at half time with a slender 2-1 lead. That’s the way the score stayed with some stout defending throughout the second half, Nicky O Sullivan making a few saves and Pa Donegan heading off the line at the death to preserve three exceptional points. Every man, 1 to 14 played their each vital role in what was a fantastic win. CLANMAURICE CAMOGIE CLUB is having it’s AGM for 2014 in the Kilmoyley GAA Clubhouse this Friday the 10th January at 8pm.
