We were joined on the night by Coiste Ciarrai Vice Chairman Mr. Jer Galvin, NKHB Chairman Mr. Joe Walsh & Fr. Tadgh Fitzgerald. Senior and Minor championship medals were presented to our panels of players, who turned up on the night all dressed to perfection. They were a credit to our Club all year but most important they were a credit to their families and last Saturday night in particular. Senior team mentors Pat O Driscoll, Eamon Ferris & Brendan Horgan & our hurling coach Frankie Flannery were all acknowledged and thanked and received special presentations to mark the great year. Contact Secretary Geraldine Delaney to get involved.
KERRY HURLERS: We must give credit to two of our senior hurlers who took to Austin Stack Pitch to join the Kerry hurlers as they faced the mite of Tipperary last Sunday. Kevin Orpen led out the Kerry hurlers and had the task of marking the famous Eoin Kelly. Darren Dineen came on as a sub at center back and despite the 2-16 to 0-8 defeat they both acquitted themselves admirably. We would like to wish the Kerry hurlers better days ahead as they prepare for the League and the Christy Ring competitions.
