All welcome. ARDFERT/KILMOYLEY COMMUNITY GAMES: Training for Community Games 2015 gets underway this Friday 12th Dec with Boys U10 indoor soccer. Draughts, U13 boys and U10 girls’ indoor soccer & basketball will commence in January. Everyone is welcome to give events a go and see if they like them. We would also welcome any parents who would be willing to help out with events. ARDFERT LOCAL HISTORY LECTURE SERIES / SRAITH LÉACHTAÍ STAIRE ARD FHEARTA: The next of this season’s lectures will take place on this Thursday, 11 December when members of Ardfert Camera Cub which show some of their work in a talk titled ‘*Ardfert on Camera*’. Venue is the Ardfert Retreat Centre, the lecture will commence at 8.00p.m. and last for around 90 minutes, with a break mid-way for tea and a chat. All attending are requested to give a donation at the door and all money received is given to the Retreat Centre to go towards its upkeep and maintenance. All welcome. Forthcoming lecture topics include the Ardfert Graveyards [Wednesday, 21 January], the Ardfert Railway [Wednesday, 18 February] and 18th & 19th century Visitor accounts of Ardfert [Thursday, 18 March]. Further details from 087-9706162 or tocatp1@gmail.com CAMOGIE: Congratulations to St. Anne’s camogie team that won the Limerick Minor ‘B’ Camogie Championship on Saturday, 6 Dec 2014. They defeated Patrickswell/Monaleen (Limerick) in the final by 4 – 19 to 1 – 4. Ardfert were well represented on the team by Norette Casey, Orla Casey, Aoife Fitzgerald, Cora O’Carroll (capt.), Tréise Moran, Áine O’Connor & Nessa McGarty. After a very busy camogie year it was a very nice finish up for these girls to win this final.
