BRENDAN’S ATHLETIC CLUB: The Outdoor Track & Field season got off to a good start with Gneeveguilla Open Sports taking place last Sunday at An Riocht track in Castleisland. These types of events are open to juveniles from athletic clubs and unaffiliated athletes. There was also a large number of athletes from Co. Cork and Co. Limerick. The whole event ran smoothly in glorious sunshine with a large crowd of spectators cheering on the athletes. St. Brendan’s AC had a small group of athletes, ranging from U6 to U16.
