OGRAS CAMPA SAMHRAIDH / SUMMER CAMP: Ógras, the oldest Irish language youth organisation will run a Summer Camp at Cumann Iosaef, Tralee from July 20-24 and at Ballyheigue Community Centre from July 27th to 31st to encourage young people aged 7 to 14 to practise their Irish in a fun environment. Camp will run from 10 to 2.30pm with a trip on Thursday. Participants will engage in a wide range of activities including conversational practise, hurling, football, soccer, basketball, hockey, volleyball, badminton, tennis, drama, music, table quiz and art. Cost is €50 for first participant and €45 for second and subsequent participants. €30 deposit secures a place. Congratulations to all the Winners Ardfert/Kilmoyley Community Games Long puck: Bets of luck to Fiachra O’Connor in the long puck. Athletics: Kerry Community Games Athletics Finals took place over the weekend of 20/21 June. Ardfert/Kilmoyley area had 19 athletes participating. A number of our athletes qualified for semi-finals and finals with two athletes winning their event overall and these will go on to represent Kerry in the National Finals in Athlone. The two athletes who won their events are: Lauren O’Grady (Discus) and Aaron Malik (Hurdles). Ardfert/Kilmoyley finished with two gold medals and one bronze medal. Well done to all those who participated and tried their best over the two days. Results: 1st – Girls U16 Discus: Lauren O’Grady. 3rd – Girls U16 Discus: Riadh Malik 1st – Boys U14 80m Hurdles: Aaron Malik.
