ARDFERT / KILMOYLEY COMMUNITY GAMES: It was a very busy weekend of competition for the Ardfert/Kilmoyley area in Community Games.
Our Boys u11 hurling team won Gold on Saturday at the county hurling finals in Ballyduff and they will now progress to the Provincial finals on 1st July. This was a fantastic achievement by the boys who retain their county title. Thanks to all the parents who travelled to Ballyduff to support the boys and special thanks to their team mentor, Liam O'Connor.
Our Girls u10 and u13 indoor soccer teams were both in action in Duagh on Sunday. Both teams played very well but unfortunately neither team finished in a medal position.  Both teams will have many eligible players next year and the experience has served them well. Thanks to all the parents who travelled to support the girls and special thanks to their mentors Artur Nowak and Benoit Rocher.
Pictures of all the teams are available on our facebook page ardfert/kilmoyley community games as well as regular updates on upcoming events.
40th ANNIVERSARY: The outstanding achievement of the hurlers of Causeway Comprehensive School in winning both the Munster & All Ireland “B” Colleges Hurling Championships in 1977 is always rightly recalled as a most significant milestone in the history of hurling in Kerry. With the 40th Anniversary of these great victories approaching a Celebration Committee was formed in December 2016. A day of celebrations will get underway at 12.00noon on Saturday May 6th when a golf scramble will be played at Ballyheigue Castle Golf Club. Players, mentors & invited guests will assemble at McHale's at 6.00pm sharp for a pre-dinner chat and some photographs. The Reunion Dinner will take place at 7.30pm and will include presentations to all 26 players and the team mentors involved at the time who are all alive & well 40 years on. To finish off proceedings dancing will get underway at approx 10.30pm and all past pupils of Causeway Comprehensive School are invited to come along and reminise on their school days and catch up with friends thay may not have met up with for a number of years.
